"We have the Origins Max War and gaming has changed forever. Even when we make potential plans to move, the first question is "Can we bring the table?" You get that "Wow" as soon as people walk in the room, and after that no one wants to play anywhere but here. Our gaming group went from buying games, to gifting us games THEY want to play, because they just assume it's going to happen here. We have a separate in-law house, by the pool, with the biggest size of table topper they make. In there, we have board games and collectibles all around to create a gaming oriented, no electronics, atmosphere. People always wanted to play there. Now that we have the Origin Max War in our dining room... the old "Gaming House" is just storage space. There's a nice effect when you have dinner over a beautiful wooden surface, then remove the tops and the game is already beautifully set up underneath. Before this table, neoprene was what I considered to be the "luxury" surface to play on... oh how I was wrong... The custom upholstery is just a joy. It's soft and there a bit of... squish? It's hard to explain but you can press on it and it will feel almost like a cushion. It's the closest thing your board games can come to having a day at the SPA. I play some HUGE board games like Kingdom Death, Too Many Bones, High Frontier 4 All, and wargames like Malifaux and The Other Side. Up to the second I thought of writing this, I had completely forgotten that table space was ever an issue. No one in my gaming groups wants to play anywhere else.
